•  The Ishtar Project is the community coming together, to support the community. By participating in Ishtar Project workshops as participants or facilitators, you support local organizations whose work directly benefits women.
•  The project connects community members with local women who are holistic practitioners or knowledgebearers. The community experiences and learns about mind-body resources in the Greater Austin Area.

* The Ishtar Project empowers women, organizations, and the broader community through holistic events.

•  The Ishtar Project benefits organizations whose efforts serve, involve, and impact women in their day-to-day operations. 
•   All events focus on holistic topics. Participants take with them a better knowledge of their own minds, bodies, and spirits. They experience holistic approaches they may apply themselves or with the help of a practitioner.  

* The Ishtar Project honors and respects authentic expression, which comes from different minds, bodies, and experiences.    

• The project seeks to involve facilitators and community members with different experiences and backgrounds (racial/cultural, sexual orientation, ages, differently-abled, and more).
•   The project recognizes how social injustice prevails in our society. The Ishtar Project seeks to expand the notion of “holistic” to include imbalances in our society. Social injustice is one of these imbalances. The project upholds a broad view of "holistic" by raising funds for active. organizations. The event also seeks to provide relevant offerings for communities who are historically underrepresented in holistic conversations and services.
