All facilitators for the Ishtar Project help create the week-long event. They share their gifts, knowledge, and time with the Austin community. The following women also help with organization and by spreading the word about the first Ishtar Project. They devote their presence and energy to the project, keeping it alive and well from the ground up as we continue to grow!
Naya Jones / Conceiver & co-creator - The Ishtar Project was originally developed by Naya Jones after she received a series of messages about women, community, and activism through meditation. As a meditation facilitator, she began to envision women from holistic backgrounds, coming together for a common cause. Local women continue to join the growing project. Naya facilitates meditation and relaxation workshops in Austin. Her soul purpose is to help people access the deep inner peace and wisdom always available within them. She is especially interested in making these opportunities accessible to women, youth, and people of color in Central Texas. Katie Raver / Media Volunteer - Katie advises the Ishtar Project on social media and laid the foundation for our website, all driven by her ravenous desire to help others create and sustain the micro-communities where people really live, connect on a deep human level, and support each other. Kerry Meath / Events Volunteer - Kerry is the catalyst for the closing Ishtar concert and ceremony to benefit SafePlace (March 27). She has helped make this event possible through her vision and coordination. Kerry has actively practiced and studied holistic health for the last eleven years.
