FAQs for Participants

Who can attend Ishtar Project sessions?   Individual facilitators design their sessions. Some sessions/workshops are women-only, others welcome men and women, adults, and/or children to participate. Please see the calendar for this information.

Where do the events take place? Please see the calendar for specific information. Because each facilitator designs their sessions individually, events take place throughout Austin, at different locations near you!

How do I RSVP?  **Each facilitator has different contact information. Please see the calendar for these details** When you find an event/sessions you'd like to attend, please RSVP by contacting the facilitator directly by e-mail or phone. You will find the facilitator's information on the calendar of events. 

How do I make my love offering or suggested donation?  **On the calendar, each workshop or session indicates whether facilitators are asking for a love offering or suggested donation, and the amount requested. Please see the calendar for these details.** In general, you may bring your love offering or suggested donation to the workshop or event you would like to attend. Cash offerings or donations only please. 

You may also make your love offering or suggested donation on-line, on the SafePlace website. You will find the SafePlace website (www.safeplace.org) on all events listed.

Note: If you make your love offering or suggested donation on-line, please bring your receipt with you to the session or workshop. This receipt will be your ticket to participate. And, your receipt helps us keep track of how much funds and love we are raising for SafePlace!

All proceeds, whether brought to a workshop or session, or made on-line on the SafePlace website, benefit SafePlace.  

How are love offerings and donations gifted to SafePlace? Cash donations made at the workshop or sessions are collected by the Ishtar Project council, to donate directly to SafePlace. On-line offerings made to SafePlace, through the SafePlace website, and benefit the organization directly. Note: if you make your love offering or love donation on-line, please bring your receipt with you to the workshops, as your ticket to participate. This way, we will know how much funds and love we are raising with your help!

Does the Ishtar Project have arrangements with SafePlace for this fundraiser? Yes. The Ishtar Project requested to host this week-long fundraiser event for SafePlace, and SafePlace has agreed. SafePlace is sharing information about the Ishtar Project on its website and assisting with other aspects of the fundraiser. Thank you SafePlace!
